Alternative accommodations in Lausanne

Given that the week of the conference falls within the summer vacations (and Lausanne is a very touristic place), you may want to register as soon as possible before everything is overbooked.
 
This should give you a general idea of the type of accommodation, price ranges, as well as useful links. Do not hesitate to post any comments or questions, we will answer as soon as possible.

Vidy Camping:

a large choice of camping places (tent but also bungalows), close to the university campus and the lake.

average prices in August:
 
if you use a tent:
price per person (per night + tourist tax) : 9.10 CHF
pitch: 16 CHF (with maine water: 17CHF)
tent: (12 -18 CHF depending on size)
 
if you choose small bungalows:
1-2 persons: 56 CHF
3-4 persons: 88 CHF

Lausanne Youth Hostel

Located next to the camping, close to the university campus and the lake. Beds available in small dorms, but also in private rooms (shared or private bathrooms, etc...). Count about 40-50 CHF per night depending on the type of room.
